Emily Laine

Wanted to post a small update on Emily and what she has been up to lately. Let me first start out by saying that she is definitely two! lol The sassy attitude has begun, for sure. She has spent her summer so far at the pool. She loves it there. She loves the water and is actually enjoying it so much that in the last week, she has started to have no fear at all with it. She loves chasing and watching the other kids at the pool and tries to do everything that they do. I cannot look away from her for a second.

Besides being sassy and completely non-stop and on the go, she is so funny and expressive. The things she will say will leave Ben and I laughing for hours. She is very aware that babies are in my belly and often wants me to lift my shirt up (no matter where we are) so she can talk to them. She will say, "Hey babies, I am your big sister" in the sweetest and gentlest voice and then gives them kisses and hugs. She usually ends the conversation with them by telling me to "open it" to get them out. If it were only that simple. :)

Nana has been helping out often with her since she is out of school for the summer. Emily has been enjoying almost weekly sleepovers which is great. Emily has a blast and I am enjoying the break. It is getting tough for me with Emily because it is difficult for me to sit on the floor and play with her like I use to. It is hard for her to understand my new limitations and it literally breaks my heart!! She has no idea what is about to hit her! She is going to need a lot of love and support in the coming months.
