27 week appointment

I had an appointment with my OB today. All the babies are doing great and so am I. They did a super quick ultrasound to check for heart tones and then it was off to talk to the doctor. He laid down some rules this visit which I should have felt coming but it was still hard to take in. He has now placed me on what he calls "House Arrest". From this point on, I need to pretty much stay home the majority of the time. He did say that it was fine to get out of the house for my sanity every once in a while like to go out to eat or run to the store. He even said that I could still go to the pool (thank goodness for my sake and Emily's!). Bottom line, activity for the remainder of this pregnancy should be kept to a minimum. After an hour on my feet, I need to go rest (meaning lying down on my side). I told him that wouldn't be a problem whatsoever because I am normally pooped after an hour on my feet. I was also told that I no longer could lift anything over 20 pounds which saddened me since Emily is 24 pounds :(. That is going to be a tough one.....

Each time I see the OB, he measures the size of my uterus. In a singleton pregnancy, it should coincide with how many weeks I am along which would be 27 weeks if I was only having one. Well my big ole' belly is now measuring a whopping 39 weeks! My body sure feels that way too... I swear I get more aches and pains every day and stretch marks too! I was so lucky with Emily and never got a single one but three popped up in the last month and I just noticed three more last night. I am one sexy mama let me tell ya!

We also have a date set for my c-section.... Thursday, September 17th (which would put me at 35 weeks and 3days)!! :) This is all scary and exciting to me all at the same time. That is only like 8 weeks away!!! YIKES. It sure would be a wonderful thing if I can last that long though. Here's hoping!

Well I guess that is about it. Sorry if this post isn't writen all that well. I took a Tylenol PM to help me sleep and it has kicked in pretty good as I have been typing this. I guess it is off to bed for me. Goodnight and love to all!!

Yay! So glad you and your precious little ones are doing SO well... wonderful news!

I know about the restricted activity. No fun but enjoy that you made it this far without it! :) Now you and your daughter can have lots of couch time.
