24 weeks along

So I am now 24 weeks along. In a triplet pregnancy, this is a huge milestone. At 24 weeks, our babies are now viable. Although I want them to keep cooking for another 3 months inside of me, they could stand a chance if they were born now. Anyway, it is a big accomplishment and I am so proud of my body for hanging in there. My doctors rave over how I have a "superman" cervix because of how long it is. Your cervix gets shorter and shorter when delivery is near so I am happy that it is holding up incredibly well. Another big factor with preterm labor is blood pressure issues. My BP has been great so far so that is good news. As well as I am doing, I do have a MILLION complaints. This pregnancy is really kicking my butt. Ever since about 20 weeks, I started to really feel that I was pregnant with three babies. My back hurts all of the time, I get tired SO easily (after only an hour up and about) and because my uterus is carrying three babies, it is incredibly irritable (like me! lol). Irritable meaning that I have Braxton Hicks contractions ALL of the time. I have multiple ones every hour. My doctor says that all of these contractions aren't making my cervix change so I am not worried as long as he isn't worried. Because of my "condition" this house has gone to *you know where*. I can manage enough energy to get some of the basics done and that is it. Ben has been a tremendous help. He bathes Emily all the time now for me and the second he walks in the door from work he takes over with her and the house. He even brings me Edy's Chocolate Ice Cream in bed EVERY night! YUM! I feel bad but am thankful that he is being a trooper for me.... I mean a REALLY BIG TROOPER... I have been a very difficult person to be around lately. I am very mean and grumpy! I just can't help it. I am miserable and it is only going to get worse from here :( Unfortunately he is the one around for me to take all of my pain and frustrations out on. Wow, he must really love me to put up with all of this. Enough of the complaining... let's get to my appointment yesterday! I had my 24 weeks appointment yesterday. Mom got to go with me and I think she really was in awe of seeing the babies on ultrasound. The tech surprised me and gave us a sneak peek in 3D. Unfortunately, Baby Boy A was the only one that would cooperate for it.

The girls are so squished in there that this is really the only good picture that we got of them. Here they are with their heads together. I am sure they are conspiring on what to do next to little brother (He is located in the very bottom of my belly and the girls are on top).

It was another great appointment! We are shooting for 36 weeks which is September 21st. That is a huge goal so everyone please pray that I can physically make it that long. Here are the stats on the babies:

The peri said that those are all great weights and I am so happy about that! Hopefully with lots of rest, they will continue to grow and thrive in their tight little environment!
