I have slacked on my blogging big time... sorry. I am lucky these days to brush my teeth so I guess it really is no surprise that I haven't made it on here to update. Benjamin, Leah and Sara are now three weeks old and are all at home. Benjamin and Leah came home after 10 days in the NICU and Sara came home the day after that. They are precious little angels and are doing fantastic. We went for a weight check yesterday and they all gained 12 ounces EACH in eight days. :) Ben now weighs in at 5lbs 15oz, Leah is 5lbs 10oz and Sara is at 5lbs 3oz. I am so proud of them and how far they have come. They each already have their own personality which is so neat to see. Ben is our "Little Man". He is pretty laid back and loves to grunt and poop. Typical man I would say. Leah is known as "Laid back Leah". She is very easy going and I am so so thankful for that :). Sara is our little delicate princess and is the fussiest of all. She loves to be cuddled and HATES her diaper changed. I predict she will be the prissy girl out of the two. Things have been pretty hectic around here as you could imagine. Sleep is very hard to come by when the babies eat every three hours and then it takes over an hour to feed all three. After feeding them, I pump for 30 minutes. So after all is said and done there isn't much time left for anything else. It's been tough. Then there is Emily... she is being a great big sister. She loves loves loves to kiss on all three of them and gives them their pacies when they are upset or covers them with a blanket when they are cold. She really loves them. She isn't enjoying the lack of attention though which brings me lots of guilt. Like I said a minute ago, after tending to the babies and pumping breastmilk, I don't have much time to spare so it has been tough on Emily. The other problem is that she seems to only really want me or Ben at this point and has said numerous times, "I just want to be with my family. I want to be happy."....... Brings immediate tears to my eyes every time. She will adjust though. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
Ben and I wanted to thank everyone for all they have done for us. I will probably never get around to writing thank you notes to all of you so let me just say THANK YOU for all you have done these last few months. You all mean the world to us and we couldn't make it without your support. I know that there are a ton of you that want to help. Soon enough I will call on you guys to help but right now I am trying to get in a groove on my own and let Emily get adjusted to the situation. For some reason Emily acts better if it is just Ben and I and the babies. I am sure this is just a phase and her way of dealing with it all and learning to share the attention with her brother and sisters. I will leave you guys with some pictures!! Enjoy.
Our new family... wow!

This is a typical Sara face. She always has this afraid look on her face... Bless her heart.

I am just impressed that you had the mental strength to even update your blog already!! The pictures are just darling as the babies are. And you are right, Emily will adjust just fine and please don't let guilt set in. She will be fine!! I want to have dinner delivered to you guys soon since I can't bring dinner over from SC so I will call your Mom about setting that up. Keep up the good Mommy and Daddy work! -Jessica
wow. I have tears in my eyes from reading your post and from seeing all the beautiful pics. I have looked back every day here and on atp and was so excited to see an update. Take your time and take it easy. Try not to feel guilty over things you can't help or change. Many Hugs to you and your family!
Your babies are beautiful! I agree with Sharon, don't make yourself feel guilty and just do the best you can. What a blessing you have!

Whoooohoooo..I was so excited to see this in my blog reader...I can't imagine how tired you must be, but thank you thank you for the update!!
Let me know when you need some hats I would love to make some for your cutie pies!!
I'm so happy for you and your family! You did an awesome job momma! The triplets are all so beautiful. I love the pic of Emily holding her lil sis <3 Congratulations again!

I have BBB triplets (8 months old) and it does get easier. You're doing a great job! We also had to "establish our routines" before knowing where, how, when we'd need help. Once we got the feeding thing down it was best to have people bring food, help with the house/yard, etc.
You mentioned that Sara looks afraid in her pictures. Well, our smallest one still has that "deer in headlights" look everytime we take a picture!
God Bless.
You are doing so well and Christy, your babies (all FOUR of them) are beautiful!
I have been thinking of you guys often and cannot wait to hear more. I am so glad your trio had little time in the hospital- you are an inspiration to me. :)
Hoping the routine comes soon, and you can relax a little bit (HA!).
Many good thoughts!!
Oh Christy! They are absolutely precious! I'm glad you all are adjusting well to your newest additions. Emily will get the hang of it soon enough. =)
You're such a strong, wonderful momma! Enjoy you're precious Trio and Emily. We know how quickly they grow.
Your babies are so so gorgeous! Congrats!
My twins were born a month ago and I too struggled with caring for them at night while also pumping for them and then I bought one of these: http://www.easyexpressionproducts.com/ Suddenly, I could feed a baby and pump for the next feeding SIMULTANEOUSLY. For thirty dollars I have already saved countless hours of sleep; I hope it'll do the same for you.
So glad everyone is home! What a beautiful family! Been there about the feeding/pumping, feeding/pumping...If you need some support just hop on over to www.friesentriplets.blogspot.com...we could chat, cry, or laugh....whatever the moment calls for. Don't forget to eat and drink and take your Iron (found that one out the hard way)......
