Long time No Blog

Hello strangers! I have really let this blog go and I apologize for that. I promise to be more diligent with my updates. The month of January was very busy as usual. I am always very sad to put away all of the Christmas decorations but found myself smiling while I was doing it because I was thinking about how next Christmas would be. It will be WILD!! The triplets are changing every day. The new year started out with all three of them giving me big belly laughs. I love love love those! I seem to get the most giggles from Benjamin. The second week of January began with Benjamin rolling from his belly to his back and then two days after that Sara did it too. Leah never would do it and still hasn't. She has, however, done the harder one of the two and rolls from her back to her stomach. Every time I put her on her back now she immediately rolls to her stomach. Then she gets mad that she is on her stomach and screams. The personalities of the trio are still pretty much the same. Leah is still our model child (i feel bad for saying that but she really is so well behaved). She is such a great sleeper that sleeps 11-12 hours a night. I never ever even hear a peep from her. The only time she fusses is when she has a dirty diaper or is wanting to eat (oh yeah- and when she is tired of being on her tummy). She is so laid back and so so sweet. She is also so IN LOVE with her daddy. You should see the way she looks at him. Benjamin is mama's little boy for sure and prefers me over anyone else. He even gets mad now if I leave him to go hold one of the girls. He is so so smiley and loves to laugh, giggle and talk. He is getting pretty strong and when he is on his tummy, he brings his knees up under him and pushes. He wants to get up and go so bad! Sweet little Sara is our little princess. She is usually one extreme or the other. When she is happy, she is the smiliest little girl but when she is unhappy, there is no consoling her. She LOVES to cuddle and is the most content when held. Unfortunately, I can't hold her as much as I would like to. I feel like she is going to be rolling on to her stomach within the next week. She is trying really hard to do it. One other thing that the triplets have started to do is notice eachother. I put them down next to eachother and they turn to their sides and when they see eachother, they just smile and coo. It is so so cool to see them interact with one another. They are going to have one unique bond!! Last week the babies went for their 4 month check up and Dr. Molock was so thrilled at how well these 35 weekers were doing. Benjamin weighed 13lbs 8 1/2oz and was 25" long. Leah weighed in at 13lbs 1oz and was 25"long. Sara weighed in at 10lbs 4oz and was 23" long. The doctor gave us the ok to start rice cereal which we started last week. They all seem to like it but boy does it take some time to feed them!! Just one more thing to add to our busy day! All in all we are hanging in there. I really had a test this past week when my dear husband went to HAWAII for 6 days. Yeah- Hawaii, without ME. I was less than thrilled. He left last Thursday and came home yesterday (Wednesday). My parents helped me out a lot and even took Emily for the weekend so that helped. GG (Ben's mom) came over on Saturday and sent me out for a mani/pedi (her treat!). It was so nice to get out of the house ESPECIALLY for pampering. Anyway, we survived with him gone but BOY were we excited to have him home. Emily especially missed her daddy. Speaking of our little Emmy Laine, in less than two months, our most-of-the-time sweet first born will be 3 years old! She is such a smart, strong-willed little girl. This is a very tough age but also a very funny age. The things that come out of her mouth sometimes are just down right hilarious. She is beginning to interact with her sibling more and more and is very helpful when I need her to give one of them a paci or a blanket. I see fun times ahead for the four of them! Well there's my update with what is going on between our walls! Hope to be better about updating this thing. Love to all!
